What was your favorite class? Why? I’ve had too many favorite classes, but the “class” that stands out the most to me is the Problem Solving Club. Every meeting was so much fun to attend, and presenting solutions to difficult problems is a rewarding experience. Dr. Patterson, Dr. Dueñez, Dr. Prasad and a host of others all made sure to make PSC a really fun math club to be a part of.
What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment will be graduating at the end of this fall. It has been a long road filled obstacles and setbacks, friendships and lessons learned. But at the end of this year, I can proudly say I have two degrees in two very difficult majors.
What is your “motto”? My favorite Latin quote is “Aut viam inveniam aut faciam” which translates to “I will either find a way or make one”.
What are your plans after graduation? I plan to continue my education and eventually aspire to get a Ph.D. For now, I will jump into the work force and see where life takes me.
What is your dream job? I want to eventually teach and do research for a living.
What is one word you would use to describe yourself? Resolute.
What advice would you give the incoming freshman? It is easier said than done, but I would say to go all in. Go all in in any endeavor. A goal without a plan is just a wish. Make sure you have a blueprint for your future, and dedicate yourself to it. Future you will greatly appreciate it.
